Red Bull 'Top Of The Viral Video Charts' Says GoViral

For anyone with a passing interest in humans hurtling to the Earth from incredible heights, it should be obvious which fizzy drink company has the best 'social video' strategy.

But to everyone else? It's Red Bull.

That's according to GoViral, the video distribution network owned by AOL. (Disclosure: the Huffington Post is also owned by AOL, but was not involved in putting together the report).

According to GoViral, Red Bull beat Google (2nd) and Disney (3rd) - while Apple and Microsoft failed to make it into the top ten.

GoViral analysed the volume of views for content uploaded to YouTube, Vimeo and Facebook so far this year. It also looked at the total output in minutes by each brand, and their number of subscribers.

The report said that Red Bull had used video more effectively than any other company - and noted that while they have traditionally been known for their advertising alcohol brands failed to make much of an impact - with none of the big labels cracking the top 90.

Car brands also proved lacklustre, with BMW top at 12th and rivals Volkswagen (13th) and Mercedes (15th) way behind.
