WATCH: England's Other Dramatic Rugby Win Vs Australia

England-Australia rugby union matches inevitably evoke memories of the tense and never-ending 2003 World Cup final. But in 2000 the duo played out one of the most enthralling finales at Twickenham as Clive Woodward's team prevailed thanks to a stoppage-time try from Dan Luger.

The Wallabies, who had become world champions on the same patch the previous year, were crestfallen when winger Luger touched down Iain Balshaw's kick into the corner in the ninth minute of injury time.

Jonny Wilkinson, who would go on to convert a more famous effort between the posts against the Aussies three years later, added gloss to the scoreline with a sublime conversion on the touchline. He had actually squandered several chances throughout the game.

Like the 2003 final, only two tries were registered in the match with Matt Burke scoring all of Australia's 19 points.
