Michelle Heaton has tweeted fans to assure them she's OK after undergoing a double mastectomy.
The former Liberty X singer is recovering in hospital after she went under the knife on Tuesday to have her breasts removed.
She wrote on Twitter.com: "Thank u for all your lovely tweets. It went well, but I'm obviously very sore & disorientated still. I have the best doctors & husband eva!"
The day before the operation, she posted a photo of herself holding her daughter Faith, writing: "My last cuddle with baby faith before my op.. don't know when she will be able to cuddle upto me again.. big day 2moz."
Michelle, 33, opted to have the preventative surgery after learning she is up to 80 per cent more likely to develop breast cancer because she has the BRCA2 gene.
She told OK! magazine last month: "I really have no other option. I'm doing it to save my life. I don't want to live waiting for cancer to strike. I'm more scared than I (have) ever been in my life. I don't want to die young."
