Manchester United returned to the summit of the Premier League table after a laborious win against Queens Park Rangers, watched on by Harry Redknapp.

West Brom leapt up to third after an excellent 4-2 win at Sunderland, Jordi Gomez claimed a hat-trick with a dramatic stoppage-time winner for Wigan at home to Reading, Stoke got a rare win versus Fulham and Everton were denied a win by Tottenham Hotspur.
