Nintendo is apparently preparing to launch a redesigned 'mini' Wii console - just days before releasing its new Wii U in the UK.
According to an image posted on Canadian retailer Best Buy's website, the console will come hit stores on December 7.
The console will likely feature a slimmer design and come with a greatly reduced price tag - though nothing has been confirmed yet.
The rumours were picked up by MCV, which considered the news sceptically until the image of the console was revealed.
The news will likely surprise industry watchers, who have commented that the new system could confuse customers thinking of buying the new Wii U.
On Monday it was announced the Wii U sold 400,000 units in its first week in the United States - 200,000 fewer than the original Wii.
The Wii U will hit UK stores on Friday.
