How Patronising? 'The Today Show' Showcases 'Tech Gifts For Women' (VIDEO)

Ladies! Find it difficult to get your pretty little heads round complicated everyday gadgets like iPads, games consoles and... er... juicers? Don't be so defeatist! Two hotshot presenters from America's 'The Today Show' are here to dispel the myth that women "don't like technology" once and for all.

Just to give you a little background information: yesterday was Cyber Monday in the US. We initially thought this meant the robots were finally taking over and claiming the country as their own - but it turns out it's just a marketing gimmick to encourage people to shop online.

But what to buy? Well, 'Today Show' anchor Tamron Hall and guest expert Kelly Wallace decided to run through some of the top techie purchases for women. Because technology's not just for men, right?

First up: an internet-enabled TV that's "literally bringing the internet into your living room". Woah, there! You're kidding me, right? You can actually use the internet indoors? In that case, I'll go back inside. It's freezing out here.

Other state-of-the-art gadgets on show included a mini iPad ("It's small enough to put in your handbag"), a juicer ("Women love the self-cleansing option"), an electronic skin brush (move over men - women can use skin brushes, too) and a Wii U. Sadly, we don't really know what the Wii U does because Tamron and Kelly couldn't get it to work properly. Tsk - birds, eh?

Feeling suitably patronised? Sadly, there's a lot of this kind of thing about. But we can always fight back with mild sarcasm - as demonstrated by these Amazon customer reviews of Bic's 'For Her' pen range...
