Victoria Pendleton Felt Like Ann Widdecombe On 'Strictly Come Dancing'

'I'd Become The Ann Widdecombe'

Victoria Pendleton says her lack of dancing skills made her this year's Ann Widdecombe on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

The Olympic gold medal-winning cyclist became the latest celebrity to leave the BBC One show at the weekend. She and professional dance partner Brendan Cole lost a dance-off against former England cricket captain Michael Vaughan and Natalie Lowe.

Speaking before she was voted out by the judges, Victoria, 32, told the Radio Times: "I'm so surprised to stay in every week - my dance is always rubbish in comparison to everyone else's."

The former track cyclist, who descended to the dance floor on a bike suspended by wires in a recent live show, added: "I knew I'd become the Ann Widdecombe or Russell Grant of this year when they flew me across Wembley on that bike!"

In 2010, former MP Ann became an unlikely star on the show despite coming bottom of the judges' scores seven weeks in a row.

Last year, astrologer Russell's comic 'Strictly' routine came to an end after he was fired from a cannon before sailing through the air suspended by wires.
