Beckham "To Start Talks' With AS Monaco

David Beckham is to start negotiations with AS Monaco as he considers his next career move, reports the BBC.

On Saturday Beckham will pull on a Galaxy shirt for the last time against Houston. Numerous clubs have expressed an interest but Monaco are thought to be leading the hunt.

Mulling it over: Beckham is considering his next career move

He told Sky Sports News that he was considering "some quite exciting options".

Monaco are in France's second division but a cash injection from Russian businessman Dmitry Rybolovlev, who bought a majority stake in 2011, aims to help them regain their former status.

Beckham has all but ruled out a return to the Premier League.

He said: "I've always said I think I would struggle to come back and play in England because I've played for the biggest club in the world, the biggest club in England, Manchester United, and I couldn't see myself playing for any other Premiership team," reports the Daily Mail.

He added: "Retirement hasn't come into my head yet.

"I do think I'll be spending more time in England though and it's good for our kids to see their grandparents."

Monaco is a shoppers paradise so it should at least suit Mrs Beckham
