Nina Nesbitt Live At Dingwalls: Meet The Promising Young Singer-Songwriter Backed By Ed Sheeran (EXCLUSIVE VIDEO)

EXCLUSIVE: Who Is Nina Nesbitt?

Nina Nesbitt picked up her first guitar only three years ago, but the singer-songwriter has already toured with Ed Sheeran and Example, picked up millions of views on YouTube and reached the top ten of the iTunes chart.

Proof - if ever it was needed - that you don't have to appear on a TV singing contest to show you've got talent and crack the music industry.

One of the first songs Nesbitt wrote on guitar, 'Standing On One Leg', about growing up, broke her in to the music business after a chance meeting with Brit Award-winning Sheeran at a radio gig in Edinburgh last summer.

“I was chatting to him and asked for tips on becoming a singer,” says Nesbitt. “He handed me his guitar and told me to play something. I sang 'Standing On One Leg', nervously, but I must have done okay because Ed immediately offered me a gig in Glasgow.”

That gig led to an invitation to support Sheeran on tour and a guest spot at his show at Shepherds Bush Empire.

One year on, the half-Scottish, half-Swedish 18-year-old has played her biggest headline show to date at the 500 capacity Dingwalls venue in London and in the exclusive video above she talks about the "very exciting moment", plus her incredible twelve months.

Nesbitt is currently on tour with Rizzle Kicks, and putting the finishing touches to her debut album with producer Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran/Paloma Faith), which is due to be released in Spring 2013.
