Amy Winehouse House Sold For £2 Million

Amy's Pad Sells For £2m

The London home where Amy Winehouse passed away has been sold for nearly £2 million - almost a £1 million less than the original asking price.

The Camden Square property was put on the market after Amy was found dead inside the luxury three bedroom home in July last year.

Her family originally put the house up for sale with a price tag of £2.63m but failed to find a buyer and so put it up for auction where it sold for £1.98m yesterday.

There was fierce competition for the home - which boasts a music room, gym, large garden and underfloor heating - with four bidders offering to pay in cash but it eventually went to a couple in their 40s.

The star's father, Mitch Winehouse, said of the sale: "We are sorry to see it go."

Amy died from alcohol poisoning at the age of 27 last year. An inquest heard bottles of vodka were found in her bedroom and she had five times the legal drink-drive limit of alcohol in her blood.
