Researchers have made a contact lens with an embedded LCD. Unfortunately, no one wearing such a thing would be able to read what's on the screen.
A team at the Centre of Microsystems Technology at Ghent University said the tiny display can show just a few pixels, and at such a close range that it would not be visible to those wearing it.
But the HUD could be used in medicine, and refined to potentially show images at a virtual distance, enabling it to be read.
Take a look above for the details.
