Coldplay front man Chris Martin is such a hopeless cook that the fire brigade have had to be called out – twice – when he attempted to rustle up a romantic meal for his lovely wife Gwyneth Paltrow.
The 35-year-old dad of Apple and Moses had to call 999 after setting fire to his kitchen.
How do we know this? Gwyneth, 40, let it slip when she appeared on Channel 4 cooking show, Jamie and Jimmy's Food Fight Club last night.
She said: "He has twice cooked a meal and this is not a joke, both times the fire brigade came. I swear on my life - both times."
The kitchen calamities were so worrying that London Fire Brigade paid the couple a special call to offer them a free safety visit so Chris could avoid setting fire to their kitchen - the number one cause of household blazes.
With an impressive knowldge of Coldplay's back catalogue, the brigade's Head of Operations, Prevention and Response Dave Brown, told the Sun: "People often think that fires only happen to vulnerable people but young professionals have a quarter of all house fires in London.
"Chris will know that fires can develop almost at the Speed of Sound so it's important that when they're cooking, people don't have A Rush of Blood to the Head and leave their cooking unattended causing a lot of Trouble."
