Former Bethnal Green and Bow MP, Baroness Oona King, is to appear on the next series of Dancing on Ice.

The Labour peer and former London Mayoral candidate has extensive knowledge of slippery maneuvers having once having to contest her seat with George Galloway.

King was Bethnal Green and Bow MP from 1997 to 2005, until she was defeated by the Respect candidate.

Other contestants will include Keith Chegwin, Joe Pasquale and Pamela Anderson

When asked about her strategy, she told Labour List: “I have no strategy! I just want to try and stay upright.”

King is joining a long and illustrious list of politicians who have dabbled in reality TV.
