A record shop owner who a £148m EuroMillions lottery jackpot has been forced to close his business after being subjected to abusive demands for money.

Adrian Bayford, 41, vowed to keep his store open after scooping the massive jackpot in August last year, and went back behind the counter two weeks after his win.

Another business owner in the area told the East Anglian Daily Times: "Adrian was getting a lot of grief from people walking in and trying to get cash off him.

"There are idiots in every town and some got nasty when he turned them away. He does not need that kind of abuse."

A sign in the window of the shop says Bayford is hoping to start a new business repairing musical instruments, reports the Telegraph.

Bayford made the news when he won after admitting his family celebrated by ordering a Dominos pizza and an EasyJet holiday to Scotland.
