Rapper Freddy E Commits Suicide On Twitter

The death of a 22-year-old rapper has been confirmed - days after he posted a series of Tweets in which he threatened to take his own life.

Seattle singer Freddy E began tweeting about "heartbreak" and claiming "God was calling him home" on January 5.

He bid farewell to his mother and father and claimed he had his finger on the trigger of a gun.

His body was found in Renton, a small urban city about 10 miles south of Seattle. He was best-known for his YouTube program "Jerk TV", which featured satirical and profane segments and skits.

The rapper's family confirmed his death on Facebook.

The statement said: "Our son, Frederick Eugene Buhl (@freddy_e), age 22 years old, took his own life with a rifle shot to the head.

"Our family is saddened beyond words; our loss is great; this tragedy is enormous and unforeseen. Not only our family, but the world has lost a talented, sensitive, brilliant young man who lit up our existence with his. We love him a great deal, and he will be sorely missed. We pray that God will now watch over him, and we ask all of you to include Frederick and our entire family in your thoughts and prayers."
