Cancer Sufferer Who Attracted Prince Harry's Support Passes Away

A 29-year-old woman with cancer who attracted support from dozens of celebrities as she battled to live the last months of her life to the full has passed away.

Jo Bryant was diagnosed with Cardiac Sarcoma, a rare form of heart cancer in February 2011. After undergoing weeks of gruelling chemotherapy and open heart surgery, she was told she was in "complete remission."

However in February 2012 she was given months to live.

After hearing her news her friends and family were keen to support her bid to stay positive and raise awareness for Sarcoma.

Their efforts hit the headlines after Prince Harry, Boris Johnson, Jenson Button and even Jedward were snapped holding up messages of support for the 29-year-old.

"This is going to take some beating!" she wrote on Facebook opposite the picture of the Prince.

As their mission took shape, team bryant was set up to help provide support others, with a website, bands and a fundraising portal.

Tributes have been posted on social media praising the "beautiful" and "inspirational" Jo after her family announced that the 29-year-old passed away peacefully in hospital over the weekend.
