Hyperlapse photography combines time-lapse filming, stop-motion animation and the look-and-feel of tilt-shift to create something entirely new.

For more than a year Geoff Tompkinson has been working on turning footage shot on an around-the-world trip into a stunning example of the genre, and he's just released the first test footage.

The eerie clip depicts the world as a tiny, organic model - delicate but dramatic
