From dancing Mexican-style cactuses in Cardiff to a bright orange daisy exploding on the beach at Llantwit Major, these works of art have been taken on location in Wales with NO photoshop.
By using a technique called light-painting, where light rods are used in dark conditions while the camera shutter is left open, professional light-artist Michael Bosanko, 43, was able to create these jaw-dropping images.
Incredibly Michael, from Caerphilly in South Wales, has to visualise the image he wants to create after observing the setting and then rely totally on memory when stepping into the frame to light-paint.

“In real time, I leave the camera’s exposure open,” said Michael.
“While the camera is exposing for up an hour, I step into the scene and move light sources in a way that is captured on the camera’s sensor.
“In real time, the casual viewer will only see me moving lights about in what seems a random fashion.
“All the while the camera’s sensor is picking up the trails of light, and recording real time in one still image.
“I need to rely on memory and spatial awareness to create the images because while I am in motion.
“I cannot see how the image is going to be until the absolute end.”
Michael discovered his love of light-painting while experimenting with his camera and tripod while visiting Greece.
What started out as a hobby for Michael nine-years ago developed into a full-time business, with Michael producing adverts and images for clients such as Rolls Royce, X-Factor and British Airways.
“This ‘happy accident’ started out at fun,” said Michael.
“I realised the more I practiced, the better I became, and the more I enjoyed the process.
“I was receiving amazing feedback online from pretty much every corner of the globe.
“The sum total of all this propelled me forward and onwards.”
