Gary Neville, as if to reaffirm his allegiance is irrelevant when it comes to his excellent punditry, felt David de Gea had cost Manchester United two points at Tottenham Hotspur. Jamie Redknapp, surprisingly, didn't.

Redknapp has often been quick to criticise De Gea when it hasn't been warranted, but after the Spaniard's feeble punch allowed Aaron Lennon to assist Clint Dempsey for the equaliser, the former Liverpool midfielder was disagreeing with a United fan's assessment.

"It's not an easy one, Gary," Redknapp told his former England teammate.

"Well it's not easy playing in goal, Jamie," Neville replied, perhaps cutting loose and empathising with the demographic over Redknapp's stodgy analysis.

"You've got to punch that 15, 20 yards away," the former United right-back insisted.

It was brief, but entertaining.
