There must have been a few surprised faces on Tuesday afternoon when recently deceased film director Michael Winner sent out a tweet.

The message from his account was in fact written by his PA, Natalie, thanking fans for their support and praising the late legend.

The 'Death Wish' director passed away on Monday at the age of 77 at his home in London with his wife Geraldine at his bedside following a prolonged illness.
