Critically-acclaimed 'Downton Abbey' picked up another award on Wednesday night - and this time it was voted for by the public.

The ITV period drama took home the Best Drama Series gong from the National Television Awards, beating favourites 'Sherlock' and 'Doctor Who' in the process, and the show's creator Lord Julian Fellowes and head of the household Hugh Bonneville were in fine spirits on the red carpet beforehand.

Plus, Bonneville confirms series 4 has been written, he claims: "As I was leaving, the script arrived." How could he resist staying in, and having a read instead of hitting the cold weather of London and the red carpet?
