As viewers saw Liberty X regroup as part of ITV2's 'The Big Reunion' last night, Michelle Heaton opened up about her documented battle with diet pills.
The singer broke down in tears as she recalled seeing herself in a leather catsuit in the video for 'Just A Little' - a time when she was deeply unhappy with her weight.
"It's a very sad time when I look at me in the video. I was ever so large," she recalled.
"At the time I was addicted to slimming pills. I took them every single day. I took them because I was scared of putting on weight.
She continued. "I was in this vicious circle of taking the diet pills to lose weight. I had been addicted to them for two to three years and they were no longer working because my body was immune to them. I didn't look healthy, I obviously wasn't healthy."

Michelle Heaton has tweeted fans to assure them she's OK after undergoing a double mastectomy. The former Liberty X singer is recovering in hospital after...
It is shameful that in this country very little publicity is given to an effective treatment for certain cancers (bowel, protate, breast), which has been tried and tested scientifically in the US: Amino Acid Infusions.
We now have the only clinic licensed to offer this Amino Acids treatment in the UK and Europe. Amino Acids are entirely natural and are the building blocks of the body's proteins, the root cause of many illnesses. I am not connected with the clinic but have visited 4 times since Dec 2012 and I have been amazed at the results; it also works with eating disorders and so would help Michelle Heaton. The following was extracted from a research articele:
The treatment attacks cancer cells in four ways:
1. It helps to prevent new blood vessel formation, which is necessary for the growth of solid cancers.
2. It interferes with the cancer cells ability to produce energy by blocking a process called glycolysis in cancer cells.
3. It reduces the ability of the body to produce growth factors that stimulate cancers to grow.
4. It interferes with the production of specific Amino Acids that are necessary for DNA replication in cancer cells.
I'm happy to help anyone who wants more information.

She was "ever so large" in that video???? - yeah right!
Have you not just had a double mastectomy and need a complete hysterectomy because you are at a high risk of cancer? Surely that is something to cry about love!

well, u obv dont realise that she was 80% likely to get cancer if she did not take these measures..she is still a human being at end of day.
sad that your friend has cancer and could not take steps to prevent it, but if she could, wouldnt u want your friend to do so? and would u not expect that, despite it not being there, there will still be some upset?
it may not be as harsh as your friend, but she is stil a human being.
i am sorry to hear of your friend's diagnosis though..
morticianoire: well, u obv dont realise that she was 80% likely
My post was in response to reading she cried seeing herself at a time when she was shoving diet pills down her throat which frankly no, I cannot muster up one shred of sympathy about - it is actually pathetic. I do however have every empathy with her about the decision she made re a double mastectomy as I have recently been through a mastectomy myself due to cancer. I am not having a go, but before you send replys to people I would check you have read the story the post is about first!

Fell to the pressures of the A to Z list size zero. If only people could be happy with people being normally sized, or averaged sized.
This would firstly stop all these ladies and young girls having eating and dieting disorders.
Secondly, films and records would all sell for there quality and substance, instead of it featuring a size zero dolly bird.
Humans eh.....a funny old breed.
