Russell Brand To Return To Radio With Noel Gallagher On XFM

Brand Back On The Radio

Russell Brand will put the past behind him as he is set to hit the radio waves again by starting a new show with Noel Gallagher.

The pair used to work together on a show with producer Matt Morgan and poet Mr Gee, but have been off the air for seven years. After the Sachsgate incident with Russell and Jonathan Ross, for a while it seemed unlikely that he would ever appear on radio again.

But Noel has been approached by Xfm to do a week of special shows ahead of a series of concerts he organised in support of the Teenage Cancer Trust, and knew exactly who he wanted to be involved with the show.

He explained to the Sun that when they asked him if he wanted to do the programmes, he said he had a plan to resurrect his old friend's career, but needed to give station staff a little reminder of who he was talking about.

Noel said: "That hairy, skinny-legged, yogameister Rustel Brand. Last seen shaming the nation at them Olympics. In all seriousness though, it'll be great to remind people how colossal me, Matt Morgan and Mr Gee were on that bloody show before 'Arthur' got us all the sack. Tune in to see if I'm wrong."

Russell is also happy to be back on board and told the newspaper: "I miss radio. It was lovely when we did the show. It will be great to get the old team back together."

Hopefully it will all go to plan, as long as they don't start making any prank phone calls this time...
