PICTURES: As Fleetwood Mac Tour Tickets Go On Sale, Some Rare Photos Of The Band In 1970s Heyday

PICTURES: Rare Fleetwood Mac Photos

To mark Fleetwood Mac tour tickets going on sale, some rarely-before-seen images of the classic rock band have been released.

The photos, supplied by Sonic Editions, show the band in their heyday around the time of the recording of their 1975 landmark album 'Fleetwood Mac'.

The collection captures the band - ARGUABLY! - at the height of their powers and collective harmony. Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks had recently joined Mick Fleetwood and co, replacing Bob Welch, and John and Christine McVie were still together.

With the album 'Fleetwood Mac' the five enjoyed a worldwide hit, but not the complications of superstar status that would come with 'Rumours' two years later.

Sonic Editions (www.soniceditions.com) specialises in stunning, limited edition fine art photographic prints of the greatest musicians, film stars, cult heroes and cultural icons. Here: Christine McVie on stage

Tickets for Fleetwood Mac's elusively short run of UK and Ireland dates went on sale at 9am on Friday.

Despite relatively high prices – tickets range from £50 to £140 – they were soon snapped up.
