According to some recent research commissioned by YouView, a quarter of us admit to spending a quarter of the day watching television. The Brits do like the box!
The TV service also commissioned some research, which found that there are five distinct types of couch potato.
They teamed up with behavioural psychologist Jo Hemmings to create a study which showed the different categories, listed below. which reflect how we watch TV, and what that says about our personalities.
