Million Particles Collide: Is This How The Universe Grew? (VIDEO)

WATCH: One Million Particles Collide In Staggering CGI Clip

What happens if you set up a computer to realistically collide a million particles?

First, it takes eight days to render. Then you get this staggering video clip.

A self-taught computer programmer, David Moore, set up the experiment to model gravity and spring repulsion.

He told Universe Today that after more than a week the result was this hypnotic video, which is apparently pretty accurate.

The clip appears to model the formation of the early universe, with complex structures emerging naturally out of simple, random beginnings.

Take a look, above.
