Emeli Sande had a cracking night at the Brit Awards 2013, taking home two of the evening's biggest prizes.
The Sunderland-born, Aberdeenshire-raised songstress collected the statuettes for Best British Female Artist, and for the revered Best British Album award.
This crowns a stunning year for Sande, who performed at both the opening and closing ceremonies of the London Olympics, and also found time to get married. Her album 'Our Version of Events' has sold more than one million copies, becoming the best-selling album of last year.

She was presented with her first award by a glamorous-looking Taylor Swift, who drew cheers and applause, not least from her ex-boyfriend Harry Styles, as she took to the stage.
A dapper Bryan Ferry appeared later to present Sande with her Best Album award, before she took the microphone herself to perform a medley of her hits 'Clown', 'Next to Me'.
The other big winner of the night was Ben Howard, pulling off the same trick as Ed Sheeran last year, collecting gongs for both Best British Breakthrough Act and Best British Male Artist.
The first time on stage, he thanked his mother for calling in some votes, the second time around he thanked his agent and the rest of his team, before deciding "I'm terrible at speeches."
Mumford & Sons won Best British Group, and gave an almighty performance of their mega-hit 'I Will Wait'. Marcus Mumford's actress wife Carey Mulligan was in the audience to cheer on the London boys.
