The forthcoming Easter holidays will see children let loose from school for a whopping two and a half weeks. Thankfully the weather in the UK is much improved, so it's a perfect time for a family day out.

Here are some ideas from English Heritage for fun family days out all over the UK. Most of these attractions are open all year round, and these are their special events for Easter:

Richard III was the last English king to fall in battle, but was he hero or tyrant? Join us this Easter to find out, as the castle steps back into the medieval Ages, and is brought to life with over 100 folk from the Middle Ages including dozens of medieval knights and soldiers.
