It's been another bumper week of Exciting Events and, therefore, a bumper week for Twitter funnies.
In showbiz news, the Oscars took place, the current Pope performed for the last time, and Dennis Rodman befriended Kim Jong Un. In political news, UKIP sort-of triumphed in the Eastleigh by-election and the Lib Dems sort-of tried to deal with the Lord Rennard sex scandal. The Catholic Church, meanwhile, found itself caught up in a scandal of its own: Cardinal O'Brien.
In economic news, the UK lost its AAA credit rating, British Gas recorded yet another profit and the EU took steps to curb bankers' bonuses. And in horse meat news (yes, it gets its own section these days), traces were found in both IKEA meatballs and Birds Eye products. Although there's still no sign of the missing apostrophe.
