VRINDAVAN, INDIA - MARCH 26: A Hindu priest throws coloured powder at devotees during Holi celebrations, at the Banke Bihari temple on March 26, 2013 in Vrindavan, India. The tradition of playing with colours on Holi draws its roots from a legend of Radha and the Hindu God Krishna. It is believed that young Krishna was jealous of Radha's fair complexion since he himself was very dark. After questioning his mother Yashoda on the darkness of his complexion, Yashoda, teasingly asked him to colour Radha's face in which ever colour he wanted. In a mischievous mood, Krishna applied colour on Radha's face. The tradition of applying color on one's beloved is being religiously followed till date. (Photo by Daniel Berehulak/Getty Images)

  • Hindus Celebrate Holi In India

VRINDAVAN, INDIA - MARCH 26: Hindu devotees look on as they wait for priests to reveal the statue of Lord Krishna as they play with colour during Holi celebrations at the Banke Bihari temple on March 26, 2013 in Vrindavan, India. (Photo by Daniel Berehulak/Getty Images)

cyprus protest

Students protest against austerity measures in front of Cypriot Presidential House on March 26, in Nicosia, Cyprus. After days of negotiation, Eurozone finance ministers have agreed terms for a 10 billion euro bailout deal, which aims to prevent the collapse of Cypriot banks and ensure that Cyprus remain in the Eurozone. The agreement, which has been described by Cyprian politicians as 'painful,' will see large bank account holders suffer big losses.

worlds most expensive dress

The world's most expensive dress is unveiled The saying 'Diamonds are a girls best friend' has been taken to a whole new level as the world's most expensive dress has been unveiled. The dazzling garment is encrusted with 2,000 stones in total, including the star of the show: the world's rarest and most expensive red diamond. The Abaya, created by British designer Debbie Wingham, may be attracting masses of attention because of its £11.7m price tag, but will anyone actually buy it? Her latest creation may be a simple abaya design (a loose over-garment, essentially a robe-like dress, worn by some women in parts of the Islamic world including North Africa and the Arabian Peninsula) but the extravagant design and detailing makes it the most expensive item to ever go on sale. matt prior

Matt Prior was immovable in a memorable demonstration of collective resistance as England somehow avoided a first Test series defeat in New Zealand for almost 30 years. Prior's unbeaten 110 scrambled England to 315 for nine at stumps in the final Test at Eden Park in a tour-de-force rearguard which also featured a near six-hour 75 from Ian Bell, a triumph of self-denial as Stuart Broad batted an astonishing 61 balls before scoring his first run and then number 11 Monty Panesar helping to keep out the last 19 balls.
