Neville Neville, Father Of Footballers Phil And Gary Neville, Arrested On Suspicion of Indecent Assault

Neville Neville, the father of Premier League footballers Phil and Gary Neville, has been arrested on suspicion of indecent assault.

Police are investigating a sexual assault which happened in early hours of March 23 in the North Manor area of Bury, Greater Manchester Police said.

The force said in a statement: "A 63-year-old man from Bury was arrested on suspicion of indecent assault and has been bailed till May pending further enquiries. Enquiries are ongoing."

Aside from his infamous name, Neville is renowned not just as the father of former Manchester United captain Gary and Everton captain Phil Neville. He is a former professional cricketer and football director and is the football agent for his two sons.

He is a former director of League One club Bury.

Gary is currently in Montenegro coaching England ahead of tonight's World Cup qualifier while Phil was at Brighton's Amex Stadium on Tuesday night, in his new role as England Under-21 coach for their 4-0 victory against Austria.

Phil Neville is still playing with Everton while Gary retired two years ago and is a frequent pundit for Sky Sports' football coverage.
