The next generation of video game war simulators has been revealed - and it's utterly brutal.
Battlefield 4 will be released by Dice and EA in autumn 2013 and is already available to pre-order.
It will be released on all the usual systems as well as - presumably - next-gen consoles, though that hasn't been confirmed.
What is already clear is that the game has had a pretty profound graphical update, and looks almost terrifyingly realistic.
With a new, more open style of single player gameplay, destructible environments, a greater focus on vehicles and other enhancements, it could provide an early boost to Sony and Microsoft's new gaming systems.
