Nintendo Shows Off Wii U Speed Boost In Pre-Update Video

Nintendo has unveiled footage of the Wii U's improved loading times after a planned update is applied to the system.

The new console has lately been known for its sluggish performance as much as its innovative touchscreen controller and classic games.

Nintendo has acknowledged the issues - specifically for moving between games and the Wii U menu.

The first of two planned updates is almost ready, and Nintendo has unveiled just what a boost users can expect with a video. Unfortunately it's not all that impressive - the loading times are improved, but still very long. It will be April before users get a notification on their system that the update is ready.

Still there is another update coming in the summer, which should further alleviate the issues. Take a look at their progress so far below.
