Baldness Linked To Heart Disease, Study Reveals

A study has revealed that baldness may indicate an increased risk of heart disease.

According to a report published in the BMJ, balding men are 32% more likely to have contract heart disease that those with hair.

As the video report by Newsy (featured above) highlights, the findings reveal that men with a receding hairline were unaffected, while those balding from the top of their heads were at greater risk.

Men who lost hair at a younger age are more likely to be affected and the more extreme the hair loss, the more serious the risk of heart disease.

Researchers in Tokyo analysed the findings of six studies, with a total of almost 36,000 men.

Each study verified that the severity of baldness correlated to the risk of coronary heart disease.
