'The Voice' Sees Welsh Alys Williams Impress All Four Coaches, Chooses To Go With Tom Jones

THE VOICE: Welsh Wonder Alys Williams Gets Choice Of Coaches

It was second time lucky for Welsh wonder Alys Williams after she impressed all four coaches on 'The Voice'.

The singer and mother-of-two from Caernarfon failed her audition on the BBC show last year but had her pick of the coaches this time after all four turned their chairs for her performance of 'The Cave' by Mumford & Sons.

The 25-year-old took her time deciding who she wanted for a mentor, spending 25 minutes deciding to go with Sir Tom Jones over Jessie J, Will.i.am and Danny O'Donoghue after he told her: "There are three things I have over these three and that's experience, experience, experience."

She said her decision to come back to the show after last year's disappointment was an attempt to "redeem" herself.

She said: "Last year when I came here the nerves took over, I couldn't breathe, I choked and my voice just cut off. It was like being in the sea with a shark chasing you.

"To have such good feedback when I hadn't done very well meant so much to me. It made me believe that if I could just do it right someone might turn round. That's why I came back. To come back for a second year is a massive gamble."

The Script star O'Donoghue was the only coach to spin round for the performance of busker Nadeem Leigh.

The 34-year-old from Stevenage impressed him with a version of U2's 'I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For' that merged into Damien Rice's 'The Blower's Daughter'.

He said: "I've been waiting for someone to come on and sing a U2 song with a bit of meaning, a bit of passion, a bit of something different.

"Every hair on my arms are standing up there. That's a sense of magic, thank you, thank you, thank you so much."

Which of these has got star potential, do you think (if any)?
