Anonymous Promises Fresh Attacks On North Korea

Anonymous hackers have announced another round of cyber attacks on North Korea, as tensions in the peninsula continue to escalate.

Last week the central news agency Uriminzokkiri's website, Twitter account and Flickr page of the regime were all taken over by the hacking collective.

Still in control of Uriminzokkiri's account, the group said they would launch new attacks this week.

During the hack, the news agency's Flickr account depicted the Korean Leader, Kim Jong-Un, as "Nuke Nuke Mickey Lover", with a crude Photoshopped poster replacing the usual shots of obedient generals and military rallies.

The threat by the hackers comes as South Korean officials reported increased activity around the North's main atomic test site, fuelling fears the country could be preparing a fourth nuclear explosion.

Anonymous have demanded North Korea retract its threat of nuclear attack and increase freedoms and internet access to its citizens.

A note released last week said:

"This is not about country vs country - This is about we, the people, the 99% (of USA and of North Korea) vs oppressing and violent regimes (like USA gov. and N.K. gov)! We, the people, are gathering together because we are stronger now and we won't fight your wars anymore."

It added that North Korea's citizens should not "fear us".

"Don't fear us, we are not terrorist, we are the good guys from the internet," the note said, before the traditional ending for Anonymous notes - "We do not forgive, we do not forget, expect us!".
