A terrified four-year-old girl was dramatically hauled to safety after falling seven metres (23 feet) down a hole on a building site.
The drama happened in the city of Yulin in northwest China where rescuers dangled a rope with a loop on the end down to the bottom of the 30cm-wide hole for the girl to grab.

Encouraged by her frantic mum, the youngster can be heard on the ITN film being pulled up for what seems like several agonising minutes, but is only seconds.
She emerges tearful but thankfully, OK, and was taken to hospital for a check-up.
