Melanie Sykes has called off her wedding to her toyboy lover Jack Cockings after a local newspaper revealed the date of the big day and the wedding venue.
The 42-year-old TV star was due to walk down the aisle with 27-year-old roofer Jack at Sherborne Abbey in Dorset on 18 May but the couple are rescheduling their nuptials after the details were leaked by the Western Gazette.

They feared crowds of unknowns would attend because the Abbey is a public building.
Her publicist Jonathan Hackford said: “As a direct consequence of the Western Gazette’s story Melanie and Jack have been forced to change the venue.”
Mel met Jack last year through Twitter. The couple hit the headlines after they posted a series of saucy messages and photos on the site.
Jack proposed to the mum of two last August, just four months after they began dating.
