And as the (sigh) 'controversies' start to pile up on either side, focused on whether the machines play used games, require restrictively constant internet connections or have genuinely excellent titles on their docket, the temptation to make your choice without full information is increasing all the time.
But as ever in the console wars, we haven't quite got the full story. The E3 games conference in LA is set to begin on 11 June, and we've still got Gamescom, Eurogamer and about five months of actual waiting time before you get those new controllers in your hands.
