Israeli Soldiers Disciplined For 'Unbecoming Behaviour'

The Israeli army has disciplined a group of female soldiers for "unbecoming behaviour" after they posted raunchy photos of themselves on Facebook.

One photo shows four soldiers posing in their army fatigues but with their underwear exposed.

Another shows five soldiers topless in just military waist packs and helmets.

The pictures were reported by Israeli news site Walla

The Israeli Defence Force (IDF) has already dealt with the incident and has conducted "educational lectures" in an attempt to stop the behaviour happening agains.

In a statement the IDF added: "The commanding officers disciplined the soldiers as they saw fitting."

Members of the IDF are no strangers to social media faux pas.

The base where the pictures were taken is reported to be in southern Israel

Last year Sacha Dratwa, the IDF social media director, posted a photo on Facebook of his face covered in mud with the caption "Obama style".

Earlier this year a soldier posted what appeared to be a picture of the back of a Palestinian boy's head in the crosshairs of a sniper rifle was posted in Instagram.

The IDF imposed a ban 2010 on soldiers using social media on bases after pictures emerged of soldiers posing with prisoners.
