If aliens are among us, they apparently have a taste for warmer climates.
A video has been released purporting to show an unidentified craft flying directly into a volcano in Mexico.
The clip, recorded on 30 May near to the Popocatepetl volcano, features a white light which approaches the mountain, slows down, circles and then 'enters' the smoking crater.
Broadcast by FOROtv in Mexico, the clip has since become an internet sensation.
The volcano is located just 40 miles south of Mexico City, and is monitored constantly. It is not unknown for videos of strange events around the crater to occur - a video was released last year apparently showing a cigar-shaped object fly inside, though it was dismissed by experts as a fake.
But the new clip might have something to it - or is, at least, a better fake.
HuffPost US spoke to one special effects master who said that it appeared to be real, though he conceded that aspects of the footage made it look more like a terrestrial aircraft than a spaceship.
"I am leaning toward the object being a captured commercial jet passing through the field of view," said Marc Dantonio, chief photo and video analyst of the Mutual UFO Network.
"Several elements of this video are initially startling, firstly that the object appears to be moving fast, and secondly, that it appears to be descending into the volcano."
