Can't wait for the fourth series of 'Downton Abbey'?

Fear not, in the meantime The Simpsons are looking after you - with their own, unique interpretation of the Emmy Award-winning period drama that has caught imaginations on both sides of the Atlantic.

The Simpsons come home to the manor

As you can see from the clip above, In the ultimate telly compliment, the yellow icons will be inhabiting 'Simpton Abbey' for an episode to be screened later this year.

'Downton Abbey' will be back on our screens later in the year, with cast member Joanne Froggatt - now happily reunited with her husband Mr Bates on screen - promising "shocks and surprises" this year, saying writer Julian Fellowes has surpassed himself.

This will come as good news for fans still getting over the deaths of Lady Sybil and Matthew Crawley in the last series. Even actor Dan Stevens, who played Matthew, has come forward to apologise, saying he had "no say in the matter".

Meanwhile, this episode of 'The Simpsons' will be coming to Sky 1 HD later this year.
