Usain Bolt shot down any doubters as he returned to winning ways by clocking 19.79 seconds to convincingly win the 200 metres at the Bislett Games in Oslo.

The Jamaican, stunned by Justin Gatlin over 100m in Rome last week, finished well clear of a field which was never likely to pose too much of a challenge.

The six-time Olympic champion, whose time was a world lead and a meeting record, finished more than half a second clear of Norway's Jaysuma Saidy Ndure as he came off the bend strongly and, backed by a 1.7m/s tailwind, roared away down the straight.

Bolt, in typically flamboyant style, came on to the track ahead of the Diamond League meeting in an electric Formula 1-style car, but in truth he did not need to get into top gear tonight, with no fellow Jamaicans or Americans in the line-up.

The last time he lost back-to-back races was at last year's Jamaican Championships when Yohan Blake beat him over both distances and a repeat was never likely in the Norwegian capital, particularly after the disqualification of Churandy Martina, fifth in the Olympic final, for a false start.
