GTA 5 Screenshots: New In-Game Screens Show What The Next Grand Theft Auto Really Looks Like (PICTURES)

GTA 5 Screenshots: Latest In-Game Screens

Grand Theft Auto 5 is almost here. Rockstar Games' newest open-world action ridicu-kill-athon comes out on September 17 for Xbox 360 and PS3, with the - still unconfirmed - possibility of next-generation versions later in the year.

The new games takes place in a re-imagined Los Santos, in which the three main protagonists drive, cycle, swim, fly and glide their way to spectacular scenes of murder, mayhem and... yoga.

Among the other new details so far include how the gang system works and the sheer scale of the map.

And as far as we can tell, it looks like we'll be seeing a lot more GTA in years to come.

Developers Rockstar and publishers Take Two Interactive look keen to make the franchise a 'permanent mainstay' on the gaming scene. Whether that means frequent DLC, next-gen versions or something more exciting, we'll have to wait and see.

In the meantime take a look at the latest batch of screenshots below.
