He's got a face only a mother could love. Well, a mother and the judges at the 25th annual World's Ugliest Dog Contest.
Yes, step forward Walle - a 4-year-old beagle-bassett-boxer mix from Chico, California who has just earned the dubious title, fending off competition from 29 other dogs with his 'quirky' features and striking waddle.
"This dog looked like he's been Photoshopped with pieces from various dogs and maybe a few other animals," judge Brian Sobel said - perhaps a tad harshly, we feel.
In fact, we're with Walle's owner Tammie Barbee, who said: "People come up to me and say that dog is not right, but I love him."
And so do we. And so does American TV - as Wallle has already got several television appearances lined up, including a spot on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'.
Way to go, Walle!
