Wendy Hurrell, BBC Weather Girl Caught Rolling Her Eyes (VIDEO)

Why Was This BBC Weather Girl Rolling Her Eyes? (VIDEO)

BBC weather girl Wendy Hurrell was delivering a sunny forecast on Monday night’s news – when suddenly her beaming smile collapsed into a grimace followed by a scathing eye roll.

The 31-year-old had just predicted warm weather for London shortly after the 10.30pm weather report, when her expression went sour.

Twitter instantly erupted into speculation as to what had caused Hurrell’s sunny face turn to thunder. Was she shooting daggers at news anchor Riz Lateef? Or did she, as Justin Parker suggested, simply not "give a shit?"

Hurrell quickly took to the social networking site to explain she’d been rolling her eyes because she’d been forced to do her forecast without being able to see any graphics, adding the hashtag #techfail.

And she hastened to point out she hadn’t been directing her ire towards any of her colleagues, adding: "It is actually really funny, even I have to admit. Our world is just like Anchorman."
