Edward Snowden Receives Twitter Proposal From Russian Ex-Spy Anna Chapman

From Russia With Love: Anna Chapman Tweets Marriage Proposal To Edward Snowden

Intelligence whistle-blower Edward Snowden appears to have caught the eye of former Russian spy Anna Chapman.

A woman believed to be Chapman, an agent sent home to Russia in 2010 as part of the biggest spy swap since the Cold War, tweeted “Snowden, will you marry me?” from an unverified account on Wednesday.

She cheekily followed it up with a tweet to @nsa –though the account does not represent the agency Snowden leaked secrets about - asking if it would "look after our children."

Anna Chapman was deported from the USA in 2010

Edward Snowden has applied for asylum in 21 countries

Since being deported from the USA where she allegedly worked undercover in Manhattan real estate, 31-year-old Chapman has become the face of a Moscow bank and in January 2011 she appeared in Playboy.

Snowden, who has applied for asylum in 21 countries, is believed to be in Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport.
