Terry's Father Charged With Racist Attack

Chelsea captain John Terry's father, Ted, has been charged with racially-aggravated assault.

Ted Terry, 59, was arrested earlier this year following the incident on Fenchurch Street in London’s Square Mile.

Two other men, Tudor Musteata, 47, of London, and Stephen Niland, 36, of Romford, were also charged following the fracas on 22 March.

A City of London Police spokesperson said: "As charges have now been brought we are unable to comment further on the nature of the incident."

The trio, who were all released on bail, will appear at City of London Magistrates' Court on 23 July.

John Terry was cleared of racially abusing Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand a year ago in court, but was found guilty by the Football Association two months later.

The former England international was suspended for four matches and fined £200,000.

Terry made his Chelsea debut in 1998

The 32-year-old had previously been arrested following a fight at a nightclub in 2002, but was later cleared of four charges, including affray and wounding with intent.

Terry’s mother Sue, 55, and mother-in-law Sue Poole, 59, were also cautioned for shoplifting in 2009.
