Jennifer Hudson performing with a choir from the Sandy Hook elementary school was always going to be a hard act to follow. But Alicia Keys managed to make even the hardened members of the Ravens and the 49ers shed a few tears with her rendition of America's National Anthem.
The singer obviously put her heart and soul into the performance - and managed to look beautiful in the process in a curve-clinging stand-out scarlet dress and a gold choker necklace.

Alicia preceded the mind-blowing half-time show put on by Beyoncé and Destiny's Child so, all in all, girl power was packing a punch.
