BAFTA Nominations Are Out! Can The Brits Beat The Americans To The Awards Post

The full list of nominations for the BAFTAs is out! It seems the awards panel have been most impressed with our transatlantic cousins this year.

They may be called the British Academy Film Awards, but with a distinct lack of Brit talent on the nominee list it's the American's who are set to triumph in 2013.

A US male could easily sweep the scoreboard for best Leading Actor, but we've got our fingers crossed that British method man Daniel Day-Lewis will pip the Americans to the post.

French actresses, Emmanuelle Riva and Marion Cotillard have been listed for Leading Actress, for their roles in foreign language films Amour and Rust and Bone.

Surprisingly the biggest grossing British film EVER, Skyfallfailed to make the cut, when it came to Best Film. Daniel Craig aka Mr Bond was also absent from the list of nominees, although his cast-mate Javier Bardem has received a nomination in the Supporting Actor category.
